Christmas

Christmas the best time of the year!
Some of us can't wait to be with family and friends

Christmas is a time when love was born
Christmas is a time to reflect
Christmas is a time to rejoice
Christmas is a time to share
Christmas is a time to be thankful for
Christmas is a time of expectation
Christmas is a time to wonder

If I were to ask all of you,
What do you want for Christmas?
I am sure you would be ready to share your whole list of expectations,
well, its all good.
Jesus was born for me and you so we can enjoy life and remember this gift.

We all have a list of what we want for Christmas,
But, do we ever wonder what Jesus wants from us?
As He was born in a time such as this.

Pride a disease that blinds

The world we live in is full of diseases, our health is affected in numerous ways. There are people who mentally infect our way of thinking, which leads to a way of living. One of the most popular mental diseases that we all have come across is "Pride" and it comes so silently, that no one would think that they are being infected by it.

This disease starts with a simple word "judgment", making you think that you are more important and you know better than anybody, then you begin to listen to other peoples opinion, while closing your mind to another prospective.

The second symptom is "blindness", you start being more logical than compassionate which blinds you from the most important aspect of life "the spiritual", the spiritual component helps you to balance your thoughts, then realize we are all humans and we have different life experiences and draw opposite conclusions.

The third one is "manipulation", from the first two symptoms you feel honored and respected, you will do everything in your power to keep them because this is how you receive value. Then, in the most unexpected way your relationship with people turns into a game of control, where if anyone won't abide by your rules, in your world you feel challenged and attacked. Loving someone is doing them a favor and you respect other people only if they are of the class to deserve it.

Some may experience a reality check, a humbling experience now reshapes their understanding.

Pride is a diseases that blinds
Pride is a diseases that kill our feelings
Pride is a diseases that makes us see logic for reason
Pride is a diseases that stops you and me from having good relationships
Pride is a diseases that makes you feel better about yourself
when everybody around you sees there is something wrong.
Pride is a diseases that makes you think you know better than anyone around you
Pride is a diseases that can break your family
Pride is a diseases that slowly brings you down
Pride is a diseases that will make you ignore potential in your own family
Pride is a diseases that can kill your conscience

Pride can contaminate in various ways, for example: the way you were raised, by your friends, by being elevated among others, the way you look at others, etc...

If you have any of these symptoms, please don't ignore them, because they can stop you from seeing and receiving many blessings from God.

The word of God says" A man's pride will bring him low,
but the humble in spirit will retain honor" (proverbs 29v23).

We all need to take some time alone and invest it in the word of God, draw ourselves near to Him and allow him to draw near to us, for His word has every remedy to cure all of our diseases.

Can't live for people and can't live without people

Once, my brother state to me:"you cannot live for people and you cannot live without people". This is a very strong statement and it takes me into a deep thought, because there was frustration in his voice. I have come to understand his statement in a reality check from my past experiences.

First of all, think about how we "can't live for people", life in itself is a series of challenges that we all have to face, fight hard and smart to get through, but for some people it doesn't matter how intelligent or smart you are, how capable and gifted you are, if you can't meet their standard you are nothing.

What matters to some people, is that we are who they see that we are in their mind, but not who we are created to be. Now, not only are we all challenged by life but also by the way people see us or think of us. It feels like we have to live for them by changing who we are to prove ourselves to them, to be valuable and accepted, instead of being loved, valuable and accepted for who we really are.
The only standard we have to live by is that of our Lord Jesus Christ, because He created us and gave His life on the cross for all man-kind, so we can live life abundantly with everything He put in us (Colossians 3v11).

On the other hand, we have the "can't live without people". If I ask you to go in a mirror, look at yourself and tell me what you see? You would probably tell me something positive or negative about your physical appearance. Sometimes we complain about our physical appearance and sometimes we appreciate it more others. Well, my point is despite of all the good and bad we can identify in ourselves, we are still able to see pass somebody elses imperfection and allow ourselves to help someone see the beauty behind their physical appearance and accept them to live life with all that they have just the way they are, by doing this we can create opportunities for one and other. We are all at some point in our lives, a reflection of somebody else, an inspiration for one and other, a booster, an opportunity maker or a point of success for each other. These are all the ways that God can use us to be a blessing to one and other, as we allow Him to not let us take advantage of each other (Philippians 2v1-11), but see through each other, that's what the power of God's love can do in us.
